Rusty Toolbox Restoration with WD-40
This toolbox has character, and I chose to embrace it with WD-40. A friend gifted it to me to help with my DIY journey.
As you can see, it’s got plenty of wear and tear — hinges rusty, metal scratched — but all it needs is a bit of WD-40.
I cleaned out and organised my tools, then sprayed the hinges and rusty spots with WD-40. After scrubbing with superfine steel wool, this is how it turned out. I love the patina, the smoothness of the hinges, and how it looks without rust. Now it’s ready for many more years of use — all thanks to WD-40!
